What is Air?

- Air is the invisible mixture of gases that surrounds us.
- It is made up of oxygen, nitrogen, and other gases.
Air is Everywhere:
- Air is all around us: inside homes, schools, parks, and even underwater!
- It is in every room, every building, and outside in the atmosphere.
Air Cannot Be Seen:
- Although we can’t see air, we can feel it when the wind blows.
- We can also see the effects of air, like when leaves move or flags flutter.
Air is Important for Breathing:

- We need air to breathe. Oxygen from the air helps us live and stay healthy.
- Animals and plants also need air to survive.
Air Helps Things Move:

- Air can help things move, like wind blowing a kite or a sailboat.
Air Can Be Warm or Cold:
- Sometimes air feels warm when the sun heats it, and other times it feels cold, especially when it’s windy.
Air Makes Sound:
- Air helps sound travel. When someone talks or claps, the sound moves through the air to reach our ears.
Air is Everywhere on Earth:
- Air is found all around the Earth, from the ground to the highest mountains and even up in the sky.
