Land

  • Land is the solid surface of the Earth where we live.
  • It includes mountains, plains, valleys, deserts, forests, and more.
  • Land is where plants grow and animals live.
  • It provides space for people to build homes, schools, and playgrounds.
  • It gives us natural resources like soil, minerals, and water.
  • Mountains: High areas of land with steep sides.
  • Plains: Flat areas that are easy to walk on and good for farming.
  • Valleys: Low areas between mountains or hills.
  • Deserts: Dry areas with very little water and few plants.
  • Growing crops and food.
  • Building houses and roads.
  • Creating parks for fun and relaxation.
  • Raising animals for food and work.
  • Avoid cutting down too many trees (deforestation).
  • Do not throw garbage on land; use dustbins.
  • Save water and reduce pollution to keep the land clean.
  • Grow more plants to prevent soil erosion.
  • About 30% of Earth’s surface is land, and the rest is water.
  • Some animals, like earthworms, live inside the soil.
  • Land can change over time due to natural events like earthquakes or floods.
