- Even numbers are numbers that can be divided into two equal groups. Think of sharing cookies equally with a friend – if you can share them all, it’s an even number!
- Odd numbers are numbers that can’t be divided into two equal groups. If you try to share them, there will be one left over.
Even Numbers on a Number Line
Even numbers always end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. They’re like the friendly, shareable numbers!
