An addition sentence shows two or more numbers joined together to make a total.
Example: 3 + 2 = 5 β¨
β Parts of an Addition Sentence
- Addends β The numbers being added (ex: 4 and 5) π¦π©
- Plus sign (+) β Means “add” β
- Equal sign (=) β Shows the answer π‘
- Sum β The total (ex: 4 + 5 = 9) π
