Examples:

  • Person: πŸ‘©β€πŸ« teacher, πŸ‘¦ boy, πŸ‘§ girl
  • Place: 🏫 school, 🏑 home, 🏞️ park
  • Thing: 🍎 apple, πŸ–ŠοΈ pen, πŸŽ’ bag
  • Animal: 🐢 dog, 🐱 cat, 🐘 elephant
  • Common Nouns – Name general people, places, or things.
  • Examples: boy πŸ‘¦, city πŸ™οΈ, book πŸ“–
  • Proper Nouns – Name specific people, places, or things. They start with a capital letter. ✨
  • Examples: Raju πŸ‘¦, Delhi πŸ›οΈ, Monday πŸ“…
  • Singular and Plural Nouns – Show one or more than one.
  • Singular: dog πŸ•, apple 🍎
  • Plural: dogs πŸ•πŸ•, apples 🍎🍎
  • Ask β€œWho?” or β€œWhat?” in the sentence. ❓
  • The answer is usually a noun.

Examples:

  • The cat 🐱 is sleeping. β†’ Who is sleeping? β†’ cat
  • I went to the park 🏞️. β†’ Where did I go? β†’ park
  • Nouns can be people, places, things, or animals.
  • Proper nouns always start with a capital letter.
  • Look for the main word in the sentence – often a noun!
