Key Notes:-

  • Irregular verbs do not follow the regular pattern of adding -ed for the past tense.
  • Common examples include: go → went, eat → ate, see → saw, and have → had.
  • Present Tense: The action is happening now.
    • “I go to school every day.”
    • “She eats lunch at noon.”
    • “They see their friends at the park.”
    • “We have a dog.”
  • Past Tense: The action has already happened.
    • “I went to school yesterday.”
    • “She ate lunch at noon.”
    • “They saw their friends at the park.”
    • “We had a dog when I was younger.”
  • Draw a horizontal line on paper.
  • Mark the left side as “Present” and the right side as “Past.”
  • Place the sentences along the timeline based on when the action took place.
