👉 A verb is an action word 🏃♂️, like run, play, jump, eat.
| ⏳ What is Past Tense? |
👉 Past tense means an action that already happened yesterday or before ⌛.
Example:
- Today: I play 🎮
- Yesterday: I played 🎮
- ➕ Add -ed to most verbs.
- walk 🚶 → walked 🚶♂️💨
- jump 🤾 → jumped 🤾💨
- If the verb ends in -e, just ➕ -d.
- dance 💃 → danced 💃✨
- bake 🍰 → baked 🍰🔥
- If the verb ends in a consonant + y, change y → i and ➕ -ed.
- cry 😢 → cried 😭
- carry 👜 → carried 🎒
