Change the sentence to future tense

  • The future tense is used to talk about things that will happen.
  • Example: “I will eat lunch.”

  • Use “will” before the base form of the verb.
    • Example:
    • Base form: “play”
    • Future tense: “will play”
    • Sentence: “I will play outside.”

  • Subject + will + base verb.
  • Example:
    • “She will run fast.”
    • “They will read a book.”

  • Change these sentences to the future tense:
    1. I eat breakfast.
      • Future Tense: I will eat breakfast.
    2. He rides his bike.
      • Future Tense: He will ride his bike.
    3. We play soccer.
      • Future Tense: We will play soccer.

  • To make a sentence negative, use “will not” or “won’t”.
  • Example:
    • “I will not sleep late.”
    • “She won’t forget.”

    2. They dance at the party. ➔ They will dance at the party.

  • Write one sentence about it using the future tense.
