A contraction is when we combine a pronoun and a verb and use an apostrophe (‘) to show missing letters.
💡 Example:
- I + am → I’m
- He + is → He’s
- They + are → They’re

- Combine the pronoun and verb.
- Remove the missing letters.
- Put an apostrophe (‘) in place of the missing letters.
💡 Tip: The apostrophe shows something is missing.
