- When we add numbers and the ones do NOT make 10 or more.
- Example: 24 + 35 โ 4 + 5 = 9 (no carrying!) ๐
๐งฎ๐ Steps to Add Two Two-Digit Numbers
๐ Step 1: Add the Ones place
- Add the digits in the ones column.
- If the answer is less than 10, no regrouping needed! ๐
๐ Step 2: Add the Tens place
- Add the digits in the tens column.
- Write the total tens.
๐ Step 3: Put both together
- Ones answer goes in the ones place.
- Tens answer goes in the tens place.
- Final answer is ready! ๐
