  • Coins have different values (₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10).
  • Each coin represents a different amount of money.

🔢 Counting Coins in a Group

  • Count coins one by one or skip count (like 2, 4, 6 for ₹2 coins).
  • Add all coins to find the total value.
  • Example: ₹5 + ₹2 + ₹1 = ₹8

⚖️ Comparing Two Groups

Find the total value of each group.

Compare using:

  • Greater than ( > )
  • Less than ( < )
  • Equal to ( = )

📊 Use of Symbols

  • ₹10 > ₹5 → 10 is greater than 5
  • ₹3 < ₹7 → 3 is less than 7
  • ₹6 = ₹6 → both are equal

🧠 Important Tips

Don’t just count the number of coins, count their values.

A group with fewer coins can have more value.

  • Example: One ₹10 coin > five ₹1 coins

Arrange coins neatly to avoid mistakes.

🎯 Practice Ideas

Give students two groups of coins and ask:

  • Which group has more money?
  • Which group has less?

Use real coins or pictures for better understanding.
