1. What is a Calendar?
- A calendar is a chart that shows days, weeks, and months of a year.
- It helps us keep track of dates and special events.
2. Parts of a Calendar
- Days of the week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
- Months of the year: January to December (12 months in a year).
- Weeks: A week has 7 days.
- Days in a month: Some months have 30 or 31 days, while February has 28 or 29 days (in a leap year).
3. How to Read a Calendar?
- Find the current month at the top.
- Look at the rows and columns to find days and dates.
- Use the first letter of the days (S, M, T, W, T, F, S) to help locate a date.
- Find important dates such as birthdays, holidays, and school events.
4. Special Features of a Calendar
- Weekends: Saturday and Sunday.
- Holidays: Marked in red or bold letters.
- Seasons: Different months belong to different seasons (e.g., winter in December).
