Introduction to Upper Limbs:
- The upper limbs are the arms of the body.
- They help us do many things like picking up objects, writing, and hugging.
Parts of the Upper Limbs:

- Shoulder: Where the arm connects to the body.
- Arm: The part from the shoulder to the elbow.
- Elbow: The joint that lets the arm bend.
- Forearm: The part from the elbow to the wrist.
- Wrist: The joint that connects the forearm to the hand.
- Hand: The part at the end of the arm with fingers.
Functions of the Upper Limbs:
- Grabbing and Holding: We use our hands to hold and carry things.
- Writing and Drawing: We use our arms and hands to write and create art.
- Touching and Feeling: Our fingers help us feel and explore different textures.
- Gesturing and Communicating: We use our arms and hands to show how we feel or what we mean.
Fingers and Thumb:
- Fingers: There are four fingers on each hand that help us grip and touch things.
- Thumb: The thumb is special because it can move in different ways to help us grip things better.
Fun Facts:
- We have 30 bones in each upper limb!
- Our hands have lots of tiny muscles that help us move our fingers and thumbs.
