Plants Clean The Air

Plants absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air and use sunlight to make their food. This process is called photosynthesis.

While making food, plants release oxygen (O2) into the air, which is the gas we breathe.

Plants help clean the air by removing harmful gases like carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. This makes the air healthier for living things.

Some plants can also absorb pollutants, such as dust and smoke, from the air and trap them in their leaves.

Having plants around helps people breathe easier, stay healthy, and feel calm.

Trees, flowers, and houseplants are all examples of plants that help clean the air around us.
