He called them \u201canimalcules,\u201d which means \u201clittle animals.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Micro-organisms are so small that we cannot see them with our eyes. They are everywhere \u2013 in the air, water, and even on our skin!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-ee663892f25e3300a5ab1e10b90203b3\" style=\"color:#000060\"><strong>Importance of the Microscope:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-large-font-size\">\n<li>The microscope helped scientists learn a lot about the world around us.
